About Fraxel Treatment.
Fraxel® treatment is yet another safe laser skin procedure that can resurface damaged skin and uncover the youthful skin you long for. Fraxel treatment is an advanced treatment and can be tailored to your desired outcomes and can even be combined to deliver the benefits of both a superficial and deep laser treatment, both on and off the face.
The advance system of Fraxel lasers can treat both specific target concerns such as wrikles and acne scarring, and other like targeting pigmentation, tone and superficial signs of ageing.
How Does Fraxel Work ?
Fraxel treatment works as a fractional technology which targets damaged skin with microscopic laser columns that penetrate deep into the skin. The laser treats only a fraction of tissue at a time, leaving the surrounding tissue untouched, which promotes rapid healing. Hence the old skin is replaced with fresh, glowing, healthy skin.
Uses of Fraxel laser.
- It can improve tone and texture of skin.
- Reduces wrinkles and pore size.
- Treatment of unwanted brown spots.
- Improved appearance of acne scars and surgical scars.
- Effective treatment of pre-cancerous lesions (actinic keratosis).
By when does the results start to appear.
The results are both immediate and progressive. Soon after the treatment, the surface of your skin will feel softer and smoother, look brighter and show a more even tone. The next 3 to 6 months will bring more improvement as the deeper layers of the skin continue to create new collagen. Results are long lasting depending on your lifestyle, age, skin condition and skin care regime.
How many number of sessions do I need?
Desired outcomes are typically reached in multiple treatments but we usually recommend a minimum of 3. The specific number of treatments is tailored to your goals and desired results as well as your lifestyle. We will work with you to identify the appropriate level of treatment and your preferred downtime.
What are the immediate effects of the treatment.
Immediately after the treatment your skin will be red similar to a minor sunburn. This may last a few days and depending on the level and type of the treatment, you may also experience some swelling and or flaking of the skin. If pigmentation is present on the skin, this may darken soon after treatment and last a few days until it gently flakes away revealing fresher, glowing and smoother looking and feeling skin.
How safe is the Fraxel Treatment.
Fraxel® treatment is a safe option backed by extensive research. Of course, as with any laser procedure there’s always some risk and/or downtime. You should discuss this with your clinician prior to treatment.
